Travel Review: Luxury Italy Tour, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Pompeii, Villa of Mysteries, Herculaneum

My wife and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Italy planned in conjunction with this Italy travel agency. The planning was part of the fun as our travel consultant and I dialogued over time to arrange an efficient travel experience. Our focus was the Amalfi coast. Aside from guiding us to great hotels in Positano, Capri and Sorrento, she arranged for seamless transportation-a driver me us at FCO and whisked us directly to our hotel in Positano, (very nice when one is jet lagged.) Our ferries to Capri and Sorrento were efficient. The best example of efficiency and comfort was our tour of Pompei and Herculaneum from Sorrento. Our driver picked us up at hotel abd drove us to the entrance to the Pompei site where we were met by our guide who had our tickets. After a 3 hours, hot walk through Pompei including the out of the way Villa of Mysteries, our driver met us at that exit so we did not have to walk back through the whole area in the midday sun. A quick lunch and then off to Herculaneum with our guide and a drive back to our hotel for a swim was perfect.

The advantages of this type of planning were great and enhanced our trip. I recommend this travel agency highly.
