Our travel company made our first visit to Germany an absolutely incredible experience. Our personal travel planner was amazing. She originally told me that the most rewarding aspect of her work is having all components of an exciting trip for her clients fall right into place. She certainly must have felt rewarded from our trip's outcome! I traveled with my husband and our 18 year old son. We were given a questionnaire on our interests and preferences to start and I have to say that the planned 7 days were scheduled perfectly. We were greeted at the airport by the friendliest driver who drove us right to our hotel while filling us with lots of information about our first stop, Munich. When we arrived at our hotel we were greeted with a grand welcome and received a personal travel guide book explaining daily events, times, driving directions, dining suggestions if none were reserved for us on certain days. We carried this book with us throughout the trip and referred to it daily. They even provided us with a cell phone listing contacts incase we needed to reach someone. The most special part was having our travel planner check in with a text or telephone call to make sure all was fine. Very sweet. From the exceptional hotels and their staff, our two extraordinary tour guides that brought us on 2 private tours in Munich, our guides made us love Germany even more, the lunch and dinner recommendations, and the tours and towns that we saw, it made for such a special vacation. We stayed in the most beautiful hotels in Munich, to Salzburg (our favorite city), to Oberammergau. The country is absolutely beautiful and every day was planned so we could get a good look at it. Our next vacation will definitely be planned by Zicasso. I used their services for a trip to Paris with my sister in April and they planned our time there to perfection as well. Their choice in hotels and tour guides exceeded our expectations.
That's a hard question because every day was filled with such memorable times. We loved how clean the cities that we visited were. In Munich, our first guide showed us how you can go up to any fountain in the city and fill your water bottle up with water and drink it because it's so clean! The Beer Gardens were a lot of fun. We learned that you can just go sit down at any open table, no need to wait to be seated in any restaurant, just pick your table and enjoy. We all loved the beer and appreciate the German Purity Law now. My 18 year old son really liked that (drinking age is 16 in Germany)! The houses in the small towns with their beautiful window boxes will stay with me always. Shopping in Salzburg and Salzburg itself was our favorite city. Our hotel was directly on one of the beautiful streets amongst all of the shops and restaurants. We had a Austrian dessert Cooking Class that we all really enjoyed. Driving down the Autobahn was a lot of fun. We had a sporty BMW to cruise along with which added to that! The castles and the history of the kings were so interesting. The hotels we stayed in were gorgeous. We stayed in 3 different cities and each hotel was so unique, and the staff made it so special for us. I think the spectacular scenery of the mountains and lakes and crystal clear rivers that we saw as we were driving along the most beautiful winding roads will be the most memorable part of the trip. Every turn brought a surprise that we all felt looked like a painting and too perfect to be real.
Probably add more days to our visit
