Review: Luxury Family Vacation in Italy, Rome, Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri Boating, Cooking Class, Food Tour

The food tour of Rome was a great way to start our trip and the individual that our travel agent recommended was a delight to spend 3 hours with.  She brought us to restaurants and food places we never would have gone to on our own.

The tour of Pompeii was my kids favorite "history lesson".  It was amazing not only viewing the city that had been frozen in time, but having a personal guide to walk us through what it was like to live in Pompeii back then, really brought it to life for all of us.

The boat tour of Capri was second to none in that our travel agent set us up with our own boat and captain for a 2 hour circumference of the island.  We loved it.  Parts of the island were so breathtaking.  To view it from a small boat gave us a different perspective from just walking the island.

My personal favorite was a cooking class in the hills of Sorrento.  A 3 generation farm, inn and restaurant was our home for 2-3 hours whereby our family learned to cook the italian way - simple and with fresh ingredients.  It will not be soon forgotten.
